Be still my heart! These four High School Seniors are ready to graduate and head off to new adventures. Less than a month from now, Tasha, Lexi, Lizzy and Maddie will graduate and go on to college and start new lives away from their family and friends. But for one afternoon we got to play and be silly and hang out! This photo shoot reminded me how it was to be young again. To be carefree and happy and enjoying life with no worries. There wasn't a lot of talking, the quiet spring afternoon was filled more with giggles and out-right laughing fits. The Minnesota spring breeze gently flowed across the golden winter fields, with spring sprouts just barely shooting up under our feet. The warmth of the sun was welcome, since our Minnesota winter had been a hard, long one, lasting until just the week before. Believe it or not, we had gotten over a foot of snow just a week before the photo shoot, our 5th biggest snowfall on record here in the suburbs of Minneapolis. Having kids of my own, I loved seeing the interactions between these four girls, friends for years. And to see their personalities slowly come out as they warmed up to me and my trusty camera. Lizzy...definetely the goof ball of the bunch, but Tasha, though she seemed quiet at first was the true giggler of the bunch! As their Senior year comes to an end, their young lives are just beginning. I hope to keep in touch with them and see how they find their paths and grow into amazing young adults. This was truly one of my favorite photo shoots and I will remember them forever!
