I may be a bit biased but this shoot was so much fun and I had some great subjects...My Daughter, Megan and my sweet pups! Have I mentioned, I'm a Dog Friendly Photographer? Sadly, my own pups are a bit camera shy, well, a lot camera shy! They usually will do everything in their power to not look at the camera when it comes out. So we have to play to get photos of them. |
Once we got enough photos of Megan, we let the dogs out. They LOVE the snow and get a little carried away with doggy playtime. Since they are so big, and I think they forget we aren't dogs, you are always in danger of getting run over. Like I said, they are all camera shy, so getting actual portraits of them sitting is rare. Sully cracks me up when he plays. He looks like a puppy in slow motion, romping and pouncing...literally...in ssssllllooowww Mooootion! He burrows under the snow and eats it like a hippo, then dives in for more yummy snow. |
This is Sully, our 230lb English Mastiff who will be 5 years old this Summer. He is a big boy and loves giving love and kisses! He is a bit stubborn and loves the snow but finds it hard to make it back up the hill in the back yard when he wanders down to the Mississippi River. He also has "selective hearing" when he is outside and doesn't want to come in. |
This is why I'm a Dog Friendly Photographer! Whether you want your dog in your wedding, your engagement photos or your portraits...I'll be happy to work with all of you. I love dogs, and they love me! I've been told by many that I must be a dog whisperer because dogs that don't like people seem to always love me! That is just fine with me, I'll give them snuggles anytime! This is Mr. Barley, our 5 year old handsome mutt. When he was a baby we all thought, including the vet, that he was a St. Bernard mix, but how danty his legs are, I don't think that is the case. |
