Arriving at Gathered Oaks Barn venue, I knew it was going to be a perfect day for these two. I knocked on the door of the cute old building, the most beautiful Bridal Suite I'd ever seen, and was welcomed in with laughter and excitement. Tiffany and her girls all getting their makeup finished up and little Taylor, Tiffany and Nick's Daughter, jumping and chattering with glee with this magical day. |
This two room Bridal Suite was perfect in every way. One side a stunning lounge area adorn with century old wood and glowing summer sunlight streaming through the windows and sheer white curtains. The soft vintage look carried up to the second floor loft with a simple wooden chandelier, gently lighting the high ceilings. The hustle and bustle of the Bridal party wandering between both rooms. |
Taylor quickly warmed up to me again and had fun giving me a tour of the rooms and showing off her cute Flower Girl dress and her Mom's beautiful wedding gown, hanging together from the thick wooden beams, glowing in the sunlight. Her little sparkly shoes set next to her Mom's heels, reflecting in the barnwood mirror. Tiffany was giddy with excitement. This was the day she would marry her best friend, and she could hardly wait to have her first look with him before they walked down the isle. The Mother of the Bride watched emotionally as her Daughter gathered her details and prepared to put her gorgeous wedding gown on. |
Slipping into her white dress, Tiffany's eyes filled with sparkling tears as her dream wedding was upon her. Amber and Holly, gathered around her and with her Mom's help, her dress was carefully laced up and all of her details came together....the necklace, earrings, shoes. Everything was perfect! Mom duty came into play still as she tied Taylors pretty satin bow at the back of her dress and added the final touches to her hair. |
It was like watching Cinderella getting ready for the Ball as Tiffany's girls made sure every detail was perfect. Surrounding her with love and laughs, they helped easy her nerves as the time ticked away. Shoes placed onto the Brides feet and then a few minutes to sit and enjoy a few moments before Tiffany would go find her handsome Groom. | The Bridesmaids dresses, a vibrant deep purple were a lovely touch with the colorful summer bouquets that Tiffany had chosen by Kay's Bouquets. |
Watching Tiffany soak in her beauty in the full-length mirror, I got tears in my eyes. This beautiful woman I've grown to know over the last year and a half was a loving Mother and now wonderful Wife as well. As a Photographer, I get to capture beautiful people and details but this wedding was different. It was the full package, capturing a wonderful family surrounded by love, details and surroundings all in harmony! I gave Tiffany a few minutes to breath as she reflected on her life as she was about to walk down the isle with her Soulmate. This was a perfect time for me to capture some of the intricate details she had planned out for this special day. From the invites to shoes, jewlery to adorable wooden ring box. |
Let's reflect on this gorgeous room for just a minute, as it was the most beautiful setting for this stunning Bride. The warm tones of the ship lap siding, added a soft shadow to make Tiffany pop and an elegant flowersack loveseat for this beauty to rest and reflect on. 100 year old stairs leading to the loft added beautiful lead lines for portraits and the warm summer sun flooded the room. |
When I met Nick a year and a half ago, he was quiet and a bit reluctant to have his photos taken. By the end of the Engagement shoot, he was much more comfortable with the camera and his fun-loving personality showed through. His love for Tiffany was true and as I saw him with his Children, a wonderful Father as well. |
Nick and the guys had a special Grooms room to get ready in. The recently finished Silo Rooms, just across from the barn, were a great location for the guys to dress and chill out in, as the weather grew hot and breezy outside as the afternoon went on. Casual and comfortable as final touches were put on and time pieces were shown off! |
Tiffany and Nick's children, Noah and Taylor, wandered down the path toward their Father. Taylor's flower pedals fluttering to the ground as she threw handfuls as she walked through the crowd. | The wedding party made their way down the brick pathway, leading to the alter. One by one, the breeze blowing the dresses lightly. |
As guests headed for the shaded chairs, the Bride and Groom stood together, sheltered among the shade of the leaves. The breeze flowing through Tiffany's hair and lightly blowing the alter fabric. Tiffany and Nick shared their vows and a laugh as Tiffany struggled to get Nicks ring onto his finger. Friends and Family enjoying the sight of these two become one. |
This ceremony, so privately tucked away in the trees, was exactly what I would expect for these two. Their love is simple and true and no fance alters or churches were needed for them to express their love for one another. Just the summer sun, warm breeze and the soft soounds of birds singing around them. The breeze did make lightin their unity candle a bit difficult but the Pastor eventually helped out by blocking the lake breeze so that they candles would stay lite. Chuckles from the guests filled the ceremony, but going with the flow, Tiffany and Nick didn't give up and two lights became one. Smiles gathered as guests watched on, as the ceremony came to a close and those special words would be given.... |
An old Oak tree called us down by the lake, and would provide us with beautiful shade to take us out of the hot summer sun. I think the temperature reached about 95 degrees, so a bit of shade was appreciated. The outstretched branches hung high over the wedding party as we captured some beautiful portraits and fun-loving candid moments, as everyone tried to stay cool in the soft grass carpet of the sweeping yard. |
Tiffany and Nick have been blessed with wonderful, loving friends and family, as they shared their special day with them. Offering love and laughs and taking care of the couple throughout the day. I think Noah and Taylor had a great day as well, being a part of the wedding party as the Flower Girl and Ring Bearer. |
Friends and Family could hardly wait to congratulate the newly married couple, as they escaped the heat in the lower level of the barn. Hugs and Smiles accompanied well wishes to Tiffany and Nick and a few Selfies as well to capture the day. Upstairs the reception area waited for its guests to fill the wooden chairs and fill the air with chatter and excitement. |
Special toasts to the couple were offered and glasses raised to the newlyweds! Wine glasses sparkling in the sunlight as it streamed through the huge wall of windows. Hugs and tears flowed freely as the couple listened to the well wishes. And then the couple each offered Thanks and Graditude toward each other, as mutual feeling were shared between this Bride and Groom. |
The Newlyweds approached the dance floor, as the setting sun flooded the dance floor with a perfect golden hour glow. Nick swept Tiffany into the middle of the room as her gown floated with the movement. They swayed together with the melody of the song, looking lovingly into each others eyes and smiling softly. Reflecting on their beautiful Wedding Day, as the stress melted away. Their moment to touch base as Husband and Wife. |
A sweet moment captured as Nick and Taylor have their own private dance in the sunlight. Taylors cute little Flower Girl dress of tulle spinning softly as her Daddy twirled her around and around. The sun catching the sheer fabric and making her skirt glow. And a perfect end to the dance as Taylor gave her Daddy a special hug and love. |
Before the dance started a little game would be taking place with the guests. Tiffany and Nick found seats among the guests to watch the fun. A combination of Musical Chairs and a Treasure Hunt, the contestants would have to go into the audience and find certain objects. Each time, another chair would be taken away, narrowing the players down, one by one. Each item, another player knocked out of the group until it came down to bringing the Bride and Groom up. Yikes....this group was competitive and as Tiffany and Nick were each pulled up to the front, three contestants fought for two chairs. All fighting for a change to win $500! In the end, the winner won a lottery ticket, with a change to will $500! haha |
