On one of the coldest days of the winter, here in Minnesota, Abby and Jaime tied the knot in one of the most beautiful Winter weddings ever! Meeting Abby just a few weeks ago for a final walk-through at the venue, she mentioned that she was praying for snow on her wedding day! Little did she know she would get her wish! The day before their big day, the snow started to fall. Oak grove Minnesota got about 6 inches of snow and it continued to fall through the morning hours of their wedding day. As the snow tapered off the wind started to blow creating a Bitterly cold day. That did not stop family and friends from celebrating their special day with them. As I arrived at Abby’s house that Saturday morning, all of her girls were busy chattering and enjoying some Fruit and juice. The bright sunlight streaming through the windows as make up and hair Done up on all of the bridesmaids and finally on Abby. Baskets filled with gifts for bridesmaids lined the kitchen counter, overflowing with bath and body surprises to pamper themselves with. Once everyone's Make up was completed the girls headed over to the venue, The Refuge, up in Oak Grove Minnesota. Final touches were finished up at The Refuge and Abby got into her beautiful wedding gown with lace, off the shoulder sleeves and her lace-trimmed veil, falling just below her waist. The Bridesmaids dressed in shades of mauve and plum and amazingly gorgeous bouquest of roses, poppys and eucalypus. The final touch of sparkly baby blue heels were placed on Abby's feet and her Dad waited patiently to place his lucky penny in her shoe. This proud Father even made sure he had a second penny, just incase the first got lost. Abby and her Father, Tim, have a pretty sweet relationship. She was so excited for this moment and it was well worth the wait. Again, waterproof mascara came to the rescue, as this Father's First Look was a tear jerker! Enjoy all these special moments between a Bride and her Father. The couple decided that a First Look was just not for them, but they wanted to still feel close before they walked down the aisle. We created a sneak peek for them so they could touch base and ease nerves. Their little girl, Peyton, wanted to be a part of it as well, so she hung out by her Mom's side. Jamie and Abby were troopers for these GORGEOUS outdoor photos! It was FREEZING OUT!!! We were out for no more than 5 minutes and we all felt like we got frost bite on our fingers. The wind was blowing, bringing the windchill temperatures to dangerous lows, but with the sun setting, they wanted to capture a few photos before it set below the horizon. Then we all rushed back inside to warm up. And as the night came to a close, we ventured outside one more time for a quick exit photo for Abby and Jamie. Did I mention...QUICK??? What a stunning Wedding Day Abby and Jamie had on a cold January day. All the beautiful details, sweet moments and supportive, loving guests made this all possible! Congratulations to this Sweet Couple! ~Jen
