Heather first reached out to me about doing family photos for her whole family back in late Summer. She wanted a fall shoot with her Parents and her Sister's Family too. We planned the shoot, hoping the colors would start changing early enough so we would have warn weather too. Here in Minneapolis you never know |
As I watched the weather that day, I was nervous. It had been raining on and off, but the forcase said it was going to clear up by 6pm. Heather and I decided we would stick with the plan, even though the radar was showing showers still. We would just get some cute photos with umbrellas if the showers continued, since it was so hard to get all the families together at one time. We showed up at the location along the Mississippi River in Ramsey, MN. With a few sprinkles still on the windsheild, I told everyone to hold off and stay in their cars for a few minutes longer. |
With little ones, we rotated the groups to keep things fresh and the kids entertained. Giving their little faces a break from all the smiling! It was an active shoot, kids running around, parents chasing after them, and I had to chuckle a little as I watched Grandma and Grandpa just hanging out watching their adult children wrangle the youngsters. As I took some photos of Grandma and Grandpa, AKA Bruce and Patty, we chatted about how long they had been married. They just celebrated their 40th Anniversary with a trip to Spain and other European countries. |
